West
Coast Imaging is thrilled to welcome our newest staff members, Dennis
Evans and Kathy
Marks. They joined WCI in the spring of 2005, and have quickly
become integral parts of our staff.
Dennis
comes to us with a background in photo finishing and law enforcement.
He now runs our Chromira Lab, and is obsessive about maintaining
the equipment to the peak of its ability, ensuring that your prints
are as beautiful, color accurate and flawless as humanly possible.
We are so grateful for his expertise and efforts.
Kathy
currently assists in our Print Finishing department, where she inspects,
trims and ships prints to our customers. Kathy's background includes
time as a freelance artist for major companies like Bath &
Body Works. She also has experience in running a small business,
selling her own artwork, and has a solid background in photo finishing
and framing. We are thankful for her attention to detail, her artistic
eye, and her enthusiastic attitude in this critical part of West
Coast Imaging's day-to-day operation.

West
Coast Imaging Featured in Outdoor Photographer Article "Get
The Best Prints From Your Lab" by Robert Glenn Ketchum
"At
trade shows and NANPA conventions, I learned about many of the top
labs and service bureaus that were offering new digital services,
from printing to scanning. I’ve worked with a lot of the best
labs to learn who’s doing what and how they’re doing
it—A&I, Calypso, Nancy Scans and others. The lab that
really stood out for me, with whose work I was most impressed and
who was working with photographers whom I admire, such as Bill Neill,
was Rich Seiling’s West Coast Imaging (WCI).
WCI
gave me something that other facilities didn’t. Not only would
they scan and print my images to my satisfaction, but they also
offered service bureau solutions essential to my business. For example,
they’ll deliver guide prints and configured files to publishers.
I simply call WCI and tell them what a given publisher or magazine
needs."

Jack
Dykinga Releases Book & Exhibition
Jack Dykinga spent decades exploring the back country of Arizona,
photographing the landscape in unique weather, fleeting conditions,
and monumental moments. Dykinga gathered the best of his photographs
and combined them into a truly monumental book documenting his home
state. Each photograph provides a sense of discovery akin to hiking
a long trail and finding something new and altogether wondrous
at each turn. Learn
more about the book, Dykinga's photography, and learn about
upcoming exhibitions and booksignings.
Michael
Forsberg Releases Book - Announces Traveling Exhibition
Congratulations
to Michael Forsberg on the release of his book, "On Ancient
Wings: The Sandhill Cranes of North America." Forsberg
traveled 65,000 miles across four countries to document these elegant
birds. He distilled extensive research and over 1000 rolls of film
into a 168-page book that offers encyclopedic knowledge on Sandhill
Cranes. View
some of his images, and for more information about Michael Forsberg.
Congratulations
to Brad Phalin on his grant and exhibition!
Congratulations
to WCI Client Brad Phalin, who received an Ohio Arts Council Individual
Artist Fellowship for 2004. His photographs feature an inside look
at abandoned houses across the midwest and southern United States,
lending a new perspective on the american dream - and what happens
when it is left behind. Phalin's images were on display as part
of a two-man show at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio,
earlier this summer. View
some of his images on the Lakeland Community College website.

the views through my camera are both spectacular and horrifying,"
David says on his website.
