"West Coast Imaging started out in a spare room of our house in Yosemite Valley. I've poured my heart, soul and energy into this business, and it has grown beyond our wildest expectations," said West Coast Imaging Owner Susan Seiling. "The most exciting part is that our idea supply and energy never seem to run out. We continually see ways we can grow and expand our services."

Susan spent many years managing the "business" side of West Coast Imaging--caring for customers, providing quotes for large or unusual jobs, making sure our staff members are thriving, and keeping track of the multiple tasks in our job queue.

"Rich (Seiling) is the genius behind our prints and scans, and we started this business based on his digital imaging talents," Seiling said. "My ability to develop an infrastructure that allowed us to handle hundreds of jobs concurrently is what helped keep us in business."

Following the birth of her children, Susan has reduced her day-to-day roles at West Coast Imaging. She now handles behind-the-scenes duties, such as overseeing bookkeeping, taking care of human resources issues, and maintaining a number of websites, including the West Coast Imaging site.

Prior to starting West Coast Imaging, Susan spent three years at The Ansel Adams Gallery, where she worked her way from being a retail sales clerk to the role of Assistant Manager. She also has extensive writing experience, with articles and essays published in Art Business News, Framing Business News, Nation's Restaurant News, The Yosemite Guide, and the online Yosemite Association website. She is a 1995 graduate from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.
