This quick video tutorial will show you everything you need to know
to place a Print Lab Express Order with the WCI ROES Software.
Print Lab Express FAQ
I received an
email saying my order had been cancelled. What happened?
Print Lab Express requires all elements of your
order be complete and accurate. Because our workflow is designed
to be as streamlined as possible, orders that do not meet all of
the requirements are cancelled. This allows us to move quickly
and cut costs — and we pass those savings on to you!
Can I mail my order to West Coast Imaging?
Yes. To mail your order, choose the "save to disk for alternate delivery" option when you click the "check out"
button. You can then burn the file that is created to a CD or DVD and
mail it to us at:

What are the system requirements for West Coast Imaging ROES?
West Coast Imaging ROES won't launch or won't let me send my order. What do I do?
If you're experiencing trouble, try these steps
one at a time, in sequence, until you find one that solves your
problem:
1. Change the settings of your Windows Firewall. Windows XP
Service Pack 2 can prevent ROES from launching, or prevent you from
making the connection you need to send your order. Try turning the
firewall off, or set it to prompt for exceptions such as FTP.
2. Check your Anti-Virus applications. Some versions of Norton
Internet Security/Antivirus and McAfee Security applications can
prevent ROES from starting. Try disabling these temporarily if ROES
will not start and turn them back on after successfully starting and
installing shortcuts. To do this, go to Control Panel>Administrative
Tools>Services. Find your antivirus security service (proxy agent,
firewall, network monitor, etc.), right-click on them and select
"Stop".
3. Change Internet Explorer security settings. If your IE
security settings are set to high IE may keep ROES from launching. In
IE, go to Tools>Internet Options>Security tab, and set the
security settings to default.
4. If you have Windows XP SP2, try turning off your pop-up blocker.
You can do this in IE under Tools>Pop-up Blocker.
5. Clear out your Internet Explorer cache. In IE, go to
Tools>Internet Options. On the "General" tab, go to Temporary
Internet Files and select "Delete Files". Click okay at the
confirmation window, wait for the mouse pointer to return to normal and
try to launch West Coast Imaging ROES again.
6. Reinstall West Coast Imaging ROES from scratch.
First you need to clear your Internet Explorer cache, then remove West Coast
Imaging ROES, and reinstall it.
For Windows:
a. Select Start>Run, type in "javaws.exe" and press Enter. When
the Java Web Application viewer opens, select West Coast Imaging ROES.
b. In Java 1.4, select Application and Remove. In Java 1.5, click
"Remove Selected Application" at the bottom of the window. This will
uninstall West Coast Imaging ROES and remove any shortcuts.
a. Go to Applications>Utilities>Java and double click on Java Web Start.
b. Select West Coast Imaging ROES from the list and click "Remove
Selected Application" at the bottom of the window. This will uninstall
West Coast Imaging ROES and remove any shortcuts.
West Coast Imaging ROES gives an "Invalid Argument" error when I start, but I've used it before. How do I get past this?
Clean out your Internet Explorer cache.
1. In IE, go to Tools>Internet Options.
2. On the "General" tab, go to Temporary Internet Files and select "Delete Files".
3. Relaunch West Coast Imaging ROES.
West Coast Imaging
ROES starts to launch, but then vanishes, leaving an "HS_PID_ERROR.txt"
file on my desktop. I've used it before, how do I fix this?
1. Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove
Programs. Windows PCs can add several versions of Java when it updates,
instead of upgrading the existing version. This can cause Java
corruption.
2. Find the Java Runtime versions, highlight each and remove them.
3. Reboot your computer, then download the latest version of Java and install it. West Coast Imaging ROES should then run properly.
How can I make a West Coast
Imaging ROES shortcut if I skipped that step when I installed it?
For Windows:
a. Select Start>Run, type in "javaws.exe" and press Enter.
b. When the Java Web Application viewer opens, right-click on
West Coast Imaging ROES and select "Install Shortcuts". If you are using
an earlier version of Java, select West Coast Imaging ROES and go to
Application>Create Shortcuts in the menu bar.
For Macs:
a. Go to Applications>Utilities>Java and double click on Java Web Start.
b. Select West Coast Imaging ROES and go to Applications>Create Desktop Application.
c. Browse to the location that you want your application saved and click "Okay".
I tried to send an order, but got an error saying that the path specified for the order can't be found. What do I do?
First, check your account field in "My
Information" and make sure it says either "NEWUSER" or your West Coast
Imaging account number. Make sure there are no backslashes or other
characters in that field. If that doesn't work, try the following:
1. Upon checkout, choose "Save for sending later via the Internet"
2. Your saved order will appear in the upper section of the
"Queue" window. Click "Remove" on the right side of your order. This
will move this order to the lower area of this window.
3. Click on your order, and then click "Open as New". This will assign a new order number to your order.
4. Try sending this "new" order.
How to Prepare Your Files
Below
is a step-by-step guide to preparing your files for printing in
Photoshop. You can also download our Photoshop action script that will

to your actions pallet.
Flatten any layers you have added during image processing by going to "Layer>Flatten Image."
